Beloved in Christ,
“For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16). This is the Good News we gather to experience within our Romanian Orthodox Church community in Crawley, UK.
Our lives are shaped by God’s perfect love, revealed through our Savior Jesus Christ. He is the beginning and the end of all things, making Himself known in all creation! As St. Siluan the Athonite profoundly expressed: “The soul… delights in the earth’s beauty, the sky, the sun, gardens, seas, rivers, forests, plains, and music. But when it knows our Lord Jesus Christ, it desires nothing earthly any longer.”
Together in our community, we seek to live out God’s love daily, striving to have “the mind of Christ” and to “think Christ in all things” (St. Maximus the Confessor).
If you haven’t already, we warmly invite you to join our spiritual family. Bring your unique gifts to help Christ’s Church grow and flourish. Remember: “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. For you are serving the Lord Christ” (Colossians 3:23-24).
Heed this call to serve the Lord wholeheartedly! We have a shared mission, including the vital task of building a house for God.
Our Beliefs:
We confess the Holy Trinity – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – and proclaim Jesus Christ as our Savior: fully God and fully man. Through His incarnation, cross, resurrection, and ascension, He restored humanity to communion with God.
